Moar Painting Practice!

Continuing on speed paintings. Only in this one I was trying to mess with a little more color. The goal was to make it so there's a focal point. The first 3 i was using the same colors, since i was too afraid to branch out into my own colors. The last one you can see that I made my own composition, even though it's a crappy composition. I was focusing more on what colors to use to make the rocks in the back seem far and the foreground be more noticeable.

Painting Practice

I had to do some painting practice at work to prep myself for more painting that will be applied to the project were working on. I'm trying to do speedpaints of environments.. (which ive never done before) so doing this excersise i feel like im loosening up a bit. Im used to making things final and finished looking. Not so much loose sketches. So here's one environment. It's numbered in the order I did them. My time limit i gave myself is 30 min, but the goal of course is to be able to do these in 5 min. ;)

Motorcycle Helmet Project Part II

Update on the helmet!

Here's what I have on the helmet so far after doing a paintover concept in Photoshop.

I started out by sketching the scene in white pencil and reg pencil then decided to ink it with a sharpie so i can tell all my lines before painting all of it!

I'm liking how it's turning out so far. :)

Stay tuned for moar!
