Concept artist blog where you can find my latest sketches and doodles or finished artwork as well as some cake baking and decorating i do on the side :B
It's been a while since I've posted anything after APE!
I took the time to relax a bit and take a break cuz i was pretty burnt out, plus doing art at work lately has been nuts so my focus shifted to that. Here are some sketches I did the past week:
Poison Ivy
Princess Jasmine
I was in a crazy Princess Jasmine drawing mode the past 2 weeks so there are more sketches to come later. I wanted to be her for Halloween but didnt have the time to create a costume :( so sad.
Upon just randomly sketching yesterday i decided i wanted to draw Poison Ivy. I've decided to do some more fanart to practice my painting skills anyway.
After a month long of no sleep and non-stop drawing painting and sketching for APE, it's over! It went by too fast it seems. It feels like a blurr!
But it was a total blast. Even if I was dead tired :P I met a TON of awesome ppl and for the first time my art was fully exposed to the public. So I was a little nervous at first but after I got over it, I had fun. I saw many familiar faces and met a bunch of artists, it's actually crazy how small the industry is, I met people that knew people I've worked with or gone to school with. There are so many talented people its both intimidating and motivating.
I even got interviewed by Geek Speak Radio Show and you can check out the interview here on YouTube! (Don't make fun! I was a lil nervous..)
They interviewed a lot of first timers at APE so be sure to check the rest of their interviews!
Overall it was a rewarding experience and an awesome place to make a ton of new artist friends and connections. Will i be doing it again? HELL YES. I'm considering doing Wondercon 2012 in Anaheim this year as well. So be sure to keep an eye out for that if i get a booth :P
I'll post up more pictures as soon as i get them....... since i didnt take my own :(
UPDATE!!! Pictures taken by my cousin!
