10 min sketches

Sometimes i get a block while doing some work, and I've been doing this new thing where i take 10 min to sketch something, anything, really. It's definitely been helping with getting back that spark to draw more!

Sketchessss

It's been a while since I've posted anything after APE!

I took the time to relax a bit and take a break cuz i was pretty burnt out, plus doing art at work lately has been nuts so my focus shifted to that. Here are some sketches I did the past week:

Poison Ivy

Princess Jasmine

I was in a crazy Princess Jasmine drawing mode the past 2 weeks so there are more sketches to come later. I wanted to be her for Halloween but didnt have the time to create a costume :( so sad.

Upon just randomly sketching yesterday i decided i wanted to draw Poison Ivy. I've decided to do some more fanart to practice my painting skills anyway.

APE is coming up closer and closer and I'm SOO behind! >_<
So I'm sketching stuff like crazy all at once so I can ink/ paint them soonish. As long as I have a bunch of cool lineart I think that's a good base/ start to where I wanna go with... my stuff... lol. Stay tuned for more!

Moar Fiverr Commisshe's

So i had a cool opportunity to sketch for the amazing Jenny. She wanted the image to use in her blog which you should read btw because shes awesome. It's pretty inspiring. She's on a journey to travel and live life to the fullest.

And this was for someone who wanted a wolf with an Indian Headdress. I actually liked drawings this one. I don't get to draw animals much. I'm usually drawings humans so it feels good for a change. Oh and I love wolves! I got into wolves when I was doing research for my bf's helmet because they are just gorgeous. I enjoyed drawing them too. I've always loved dogs that resemble wolves, like Huskies or German Shepherds, or Alaskan Kleeklu (sp?). Love Love Love! I especially love Shiba Inu's because they look like a mix between a wolf and a fox :)

So anyhoo I liked drawing this one:

So many more drawings to go!! -__-"

Sketchbook Project 2011

I recently was looking at some art blogs of different artists when i came across this link on one of the blogs (ill have to link her and look her up) about this Sketchbook Project. I was curious so i checked out the site and OMG is it an awesome cool idea! Basically you purchase and are sent a moleskin sketchbook by ArtHouseCo-op and u fill it up based on the theme you chose and send it in before Jan. All the sketchbooks are collected and exhibitioned around the state, as shown in the picture. THEN they are archived as library books for the public to check out at the Brookly Art Library. I mean hundreds and thousands of people will get to look at your sketches!

OF COURSE i’m gonna jump on that! That is TOTALLY going to motivate me to sketch often. So I can’t wait for it to come in the mail so i can get started :D

For anyone interested heres a link to the Project (http://arthousecoop.com/projects/sketchbookproject)

I’ll be posting some of my sketches on Tumblr when i get ittttt!
