Sailor Moon Progress 2

Some adjustments and stuff I did last night, mainly with the background. Messed around with random effects and ideas just to figure out what I wanted.

EDIT: Here's what I did for the night. I just added more stars to the background and started rendering out her face and one of her legs and arm more. I have more shading and rendering to do on her dress and costume. But overall i kind of like where its heading ;) I made her nose slightly smaller. and made her lips a little smaller but wider. I might have to mess around with her lips a lil bit more. Oh and added more shading to her face.

Its cool that i can open up both and compare my progress :P and so can u!

Pin Up Girl painting

Another class assignment! So for this assignment i am to paint something (anything) only using 2 colors on the color wheel that are next to each other and their compliments. I can use white and black to mix in too. So while most people did abstract things and such. I decided to do something cool and the first thing that came to my mind was a woman from the 1800's. I dont know why but it did so i went with it! I drew out a few thumbnails and i wanted her to be in those nice big gowns holding a pretty umbrella. A guy in my class had a graffiti book and on the page he was on there was a devil pinup girl and it gave me another idea. To make the 1800's girl pinup style!

Here are some progress shots.. It's a work in progress. Ill post up updates as i finish up. Sorry the pix are crappy quality. i took them with my phone with low lighting. Better pictures to be posted soon!



The last one is a colored thumbnail so i would know what color to use where.

Oil Painting

So I decided to make use of unemployment and take the time to take classes at the local community college to further improve my art skills. I haven't had much traditional training so better now than never :P

The first painting were doing in my oil painting class is an abstract painting. Here are a few iPhone progress shots :)






I've never gone crazy with color before :D There's still more work to do on it. More progress pix to come too!
